the people are leaving now. they dont want to but there also leaving things behind. even cats and dogs. i feel like there really sad that they have to choose what they get to bring along.

  2. The family is leaving for safety; and is saying that the dog will be okay. they will come back in get him later when the storm passes over. saying he'll be alright, basically saying they have other things to take along then the dog. but They have no idea how bad the storms going to be.
    TONE: in a hurry, sad.

  4. The family is leaving for safety because the hurricane is coming and will come back when the storm is over! The tone is confusion because they don't know the severity of the storm!

This poem speaks to us about families leaving one another behind and striving for safety.they are saying to one another that they will all meet again when everything is all calm..very sad.
