  3. Adam Wright-The story is about when the girl after the storm hads to move to a new area and adapt to her new surroundings dealing with this hatred.. The story makes me feel very shocked that after someone has went threw this big storm the kids will dishonor her instead of taking her in as one of them

  5. This poem is about how the people struggled to fit in with their new lives and it was hard for them to live and survive after the hurricane.

While I listened to this poem I felt sad for the people because they were struggling so much after something they had no control over.

  6. - this poem talks about the school children totally having to deal with things out of there comfort zone after getting transported out of New Orleans and how people were swimming trying to get air while streets were flooded with water and how it just seemed normal to them, but coming from someone who lives in another state and isn't used to that it just doesn't seem right or normal. My feelings would be feeling scared and shaken up beause i wouldn't know how someone could make it through conditions like they had down there while the hurricane was hitting them.

  7. 1.The poem is talking about students who are taken away from their homes because Katrina and then forced to live in new homes, and lives there until it is safe for them to return.

    2. The poem made me feel irrated, exiled, and alienated. It's hard to fathom just what kind of emotions those children were going through as they were torn away from their homes and expected to make new ones.

  8. Golden Rule Day is about how Katrina had damaged school and caused people to move around to a new location and they have to adapt to their new surroundings. The tone is sad and angry at the same time. -DetxenYang

  9. I think this poem is about different children who had survived the storm and the different ways they dealt with what had happened and what was going to happen now that they were adjusting to new schools and communities since they had to leave because of the storm. I found this poem a bit sad because of the things that these children had to go through and being helpless to all of it.

  10. This poem is about what the schoolchildren were going through, their struggles and hardships. Also, how the people had to make changes to their everyday lifestyle and adapt to new things. It made me feel sad and wanting to help them.

I feel sad that the victim chidren are being teased, bullied, discriminated against, because some children dont have clean clothes or havent bathed.

  15. The poem is talking about school students. They have to move from their own place because of hurricane katrina's water force. They have to move some new places where there is new for them and they are not used to with that. Nothing is normal. Hurricane damage all over the area and hit them very badly.

  17. The poem is about the hurricane Katrina had damaged school and community. And people, children, who survived, had to move to a new home where they found pettiness and went through the difficult life after that.
I feel sad to see these people to go through these.
